- Providing release time for participating mentor teachers to attend two, one-day meetings per year with GK-12Fs, Faculty Mentors, and Project Staff at URI
- Facilitating collaboration between GK-12Fs and Mentor Teachers by releasing teachers for one hour of planning time per week (not to replace existing planning time)
- Allowing the Mentor Teacher and their Colleague to meet biweekly for 30 minutes to discuss project activities and outcomes (not to replace planning time)
- Planning and executing an evening event each year for parents and the local community to meet GK-12Fs working in their district, hear presentations about their research and study at URI, and discuss their fellowship experiences
