The Office of Marine Programs (OMP) is the education and outreach arm of the Graduate School of Oceanography (GSO) at the University of Rhode Island (URI). OMP efforts reach audiences in Rhode Island, throughout the United States, and around the world. OMP's team of dedicated marine scientists, professional educators, project managers, designers, and communicators collaborate with scientists and graduate students from GSO and marine and environmental academic and research programs from around the globe. OMP has a track record for successfully garnering state, federal, and private funds to support its science education and communications projects and activities.

Housed in the Coastal Institute at URI's Narragansett Bay Campus, the Office of Marine Programs (OMP) outreach efforts are focused in the areas of marine and environmental education and science communications. OMP's targeted audiences include educators and students at all levels, the general public, journalists and the media, and scientists and engineers.
