GLOBAL ENVIRONMENTAL CHANGE EDUCATION. First Meeting. Nine classroom sessions beginning February 27, 2008- Wednesdays, February 27; March 5, 12, and 19; April 2, 9, 23, and 30; And May 7, 4-6:30 pm, AND two 6-hour Saturday field sessions, April 26 and May 3, 9 am to 3 pm. Join instructor Gail Scowcroft, URI's Office of Marine Programs for this three-credit global change course designed specifically for teachers. Campers will examine marine life from microscopic to macroscopic and experience a trip aboard a research vessel. Cost for this 5-day camp is $335 and is open to youngsters entering grades 6-8 in the fall. Campers meet at URI's Narragansett Bay Campus each day.
