Regional Competition

For the second year in a row, a team from Cranston High School West, Cranston, RI has won the RI/CT Quahog Bowl hosted by the Office of Marine Programs, the University of Rhode Island, and Mystic Aquarium. Sixteen high school teams from Rhode Island and Connecticut competed on February 12, 2000 for the chance to go to Baltimore, MD and compete in the national finals. The finals took place at the Maritime Institute of Technology and Graduate Studies and the Cranston team placed third out of 20 teams!

A team from Cranston High School West won the Quahog Bowl for the second year in a row.
