Beachcombing for Families

Join URI Graduate School of Oceanography (GSO), Marine Outreach Scientists for a one-hour beach investigation experience. We will explore one of Rhode Island's secret coastal beaches, the beach on the GSO Narragansett Bay Campus! This program gives young people an opportunity to have their questions answered about the plants, animals, and minerals found on our beaches.

2017 Beachcombing for Families will be held:

Saturday, October 14, from 2:00 to 3:00pm
and
Saturday, October 14, from 3:00 to 4:00pm

These beachcombing events are free and one of the fun family activities happening during the "Ocean Science for the Ocean State", URI Graduate School of Oceanography Open House.

The beachcombing program is for families.  All children MUST be accompanied by an adult.

The URI Graduate School of Oceanography is located in Narragansett Rhode Island.  From Boston Neck Road turn on to South Ferry Road and head towards the bay.  You will find us on the sand.
