For Credit Information

Inservice and preservice teachers, or those enrolled in undergraduate or graduate education programs, may enroll in Global Environmental Change Education or Oceanography for Educators and earn three credits in OCG 507 or 508. Both courses also fulfill state requirements in general science and biology.

To register for credits, the Narragansett Bay Classroom Registrar will provide you with a special URI College of Continuing Education Registration and Fee Payment Form so you can also formally enroll in OCG 507 or 508 as appropriate through CCE's Special Programs Office. Your instructors will verify your completion of For-Credit requirements. Besides the fees associated with each course or workshop. there will be a separate administrative fee of $175 (paid directly to CCE) each time you register for credit(s).

Registration must be made directly through the Narragansett Bay Classroom Registrar (401-874-6500) and NOT through the eCampus system. Because these courses are offered as part of the Special Programs component of the College of Continuing Education, fees for OCG 507 and OCG 508 must be paid directly to the Narragansett Bay Classroom and NOT paid to URI as part of regular tuition payments or tuition waivers.
