Historic South Ferry Walking Tour
Enjoy popular one-hour interpretive walks featuring the historic South
Ferry area. Led by Wayne and Bernice Durfee, the program begins with a
half-hour presentation of historic photos at the Coastal Institute
Viistor Center. The walk then ventures down to the site of the old
ferry landing, near the remains of WWI military bunkers overlooking
Narragansett Bay, and through the campus of the Graduate School of
Oceanography. The walking tours are Free and are designed for adult
audiences.
